Marion Peck is an artist of the Pop Surrealism, born in 1963 in Manila, Philippines, who lives in Los Angeles, California. In 1985 she received a BFA from The Rhode Island School of Design. The pop surrealism, or lowbrow art is inspired by the classic art and popular culture. The universe of Marion Peck is full of childish and animal figures. Her works appear as haunted tale scenes with sad clowns and children who are adults. Her paintings are both enchanting, strange and ironic, she plays on the contradictions with accessories and context. Her mastery of painting recalls the classic Italian painting.
